Indications / Uses
Rhinathiol Adult: Rhinathiol is indicated in adults (>15 years) in case of recent respiratory disorders with difficulty expectorating (difficulty in rejecting, by spitting bronchial secretion).
Rhinathiol Children: Rhinathiol Children is designed to loosen bronchial secretions, thus allowing mucus to be expelled more easily through coughing. It is indicated in cases of bronchial congestion, particularly during acute episodes of bronchitis.

Dosage / Direction for Use
Rhinathiol Adult: Adults and Children >15 years: 1 tablespoonful 3 times daily. Duration of Treatment: 5 days.
Rhinathiol Children: Children >5 years: 1 teaspoonful 3 times daily; 2-5 years: 1 teaspoonful twice daily. Duration of Treatment: 8-10 days.

Contraindications
History of hypersensitivity to one of the components (particularly to parabens).
Gastroduodenal ulceration.
Infants <2 years, as there is a risk of worsening the airway congestion.

Special Precautions
Syrup contains sucrose. In diabetic patients, take into account 6 g sucrose/tablespoon, while in diabetic children, take into account 3.5 g sucrose/teaspoon.
Fructose intolerance.
Antitussives or medicines to dry up bronchial secretions are not to be taken with Rhinathiol.
Adult syrup contains alcohol.
Use in pregnancy: Caution is recommended in the use of Rhinathiol during pregnancy.
